Jeff has spent forty years in the local church helping people take their next step with Jesus. Jeff teaches people how to take their next step — coming to believe, connecting with others who will walk alongside them, and living each day led by the Holy Spirit. He also helps church leaders build something that keeps people walking long after that first step, and has taught groups of pastors and church leaders on mission trips in Nicaragua, India and Africa.

He started and co-authored The Discipleship Walk in 1989 — a three-day retreat that has now reached more than 18,000 people across the United States — and built the Alpha Course at his church into one of the largest in the country. He has trained more than 500 churches in the US, Nicaragua and India to run their own Alpha Courses. For fifteen years he taught the spiritual gifts classes at his church, where over 1,500 people came to understand the Holy Spirit and how they had each been gifted.
He has been licensed as a pastor by Northview Church in Carmel, Indiana for twenty years, and has served in pastoral roles in many other places, including India and Nicaragua. He spent his working life in business — starting new divisions, then running his own consulting firm for twenty years — and served in ministry the whole time.
